Kummara is telugu name for potters.Kummaras of kerala migrated from Andrapradesh
(india) centuries ago. They settled in different parts of Kerala, especially in northersn part. They have a a very differnt
tradition and culture. The potters who migrated were illiterate . Because of this reason they could not teach their children
this telugu script, but they carried on their oral language.
